Healing and growth often happen best in connection with others. Peer support and group therapy provide a safe, supportive space where individuals can share experiences, gain new perspectives, and realize they are not alone in what they are going through. Many people find that hearing from others who face similar challenges can reduce feelings of isolation, build confidence, and create a sense of community.

Why Peer Support & Group Therapy Can Help

Group settings also allow participants to learn practical coping skills, communication strategies, and emotional tools that can be applied in everyday life. With the guidance of a trained therapist, group members can explore personal challenges, practice healthy interactions, and receive encouragement from others who truly understand.

At Hope Therapy, we believe that connection is a powerful part of the healing process. Group therapy can complement individual therapy by offering shared learning, peer encouragement, and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Upcoming Group Therapy & Peer Support Opportunities

Hope Therapy will soon be offering group therapy and peer support opportunities designed to meet the needs of different stages of life. These groups will provide welcoming, structured environments where participants can connect with others, share experiences, and learn practical tools for navigating everyday challenges.

If I Am In-Network With Your Insurance:

If I am contracted with your insurance plan and group therapy is a covered benefit, we are required to bill your insurance.

    In this case:

    • Insurance will be billed for each session.

    • You will be responsible for any copay, coinsurance, or deductible determined by your plan.

    • As an in-network provider, I am contractually obligated to accept the insurance company’s allowed rate and cannot charge a separate private pay fee for the same covered service.

If you are unsure whether group therapy is covered under your plan, I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to verify benefits for CPT code 90853 (Group Therapy).

If I Am Not In-Network With Your Insurance:

If I am not contracted with your insurance plan, you may choose to participate using private pay.

If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

  • As a parent, you want your teen to feel capable — not constantly overwhelmed.

Before enrollment, I offer a brief 15-minute parent consultation to ensure this group is a good fit and to answer any questions.

    • Review insurance or private pay options

    • Confirm group fit

Parent Support Group

Virtual | Arizona Residents

Feeling overwhelmed, worried, or unsure how to support your child?

Parenting can feel like a lot.
School challenges. Emotional ups and downs. Social struggles. Constant demands at home.

When anxiety, ADHD, or overwhelm are part of the picture — it can leave parents feeling exhausted, worried, and unsure what actually helps.

This virtual parent support group is a safe, structured space for parents of children and teens ages 7–18, especially for families whose younger children may not yet benefit from participating in group therapy themselves.

Many parents in this group are supporting children who:

  • Overthink or worry frequently

  • Become overwhelmed by school expectations

  • Struggle with focus, organization, or completing tasks

  • Have big emotions or difficulty regulating them

  • Shut down, avoid tasks, or melt down when stressed

  • Feel misunderstood or “different” from their peers

When kids are struggling, it can sometimes look like defiance, laziness, or lack of motivation.

Often, they’re simply overwhelmed and still developing the skills they need.

This group helps parents better understand what their child is experiencing, learn practical strategies to support emotional regulation and executive functioning, and connect with other parents navigating similar challenges.

Because parenting support shouldn’t have to happen alone.
